The Nuhanovic Foundation supports survivors of international crimes and grave human rights violations seeking reparations and redress through legal action.
We support victims and survivors through information, financial assistance, and access to legal expertise, in addition to facilitating participation of survivor communities in national and international justice mechanisms.
When victims of international crimes decide to initiate litigation, it is important to analyse the impact and effects of such legal action, both from a procedural standpoint, and in terms of the law as an agent of societal change.
To measure this impact, The Nuhanovic Foundation maintains a comprehensive thematic database on war reparations that includes legal instruments, cases, reports, and scholarship on the developing law of reparations. Our database is a dynamic, open access tool that represents and contributes to the development of the law through a collection of reparation cases, reports on reparation cases, and more.
Join us for the official launch of Ukraine Legal Network, an initiative of the Nuhanovic Foundation, as we bring together a panel of experts and academics to explore the question of using sanctions and confiscation of frozen assets as a form of reparation for Ukraine.
