For over a decade, The Nuhanovic Foundation has supported civilians who have been harmed by the unlawful conduct of war.

Where wartime breaches of a duty of care are alleged against the Dutch State or a Dutch company, we help survivors to bring claims for recognition of wrongdoing, and compensation, before national civil courts in the Netherlands. Where international crimes are alleged and the perpetrator is believed to be in the Netherlands, we help survivors gather and present evidence to the national police so that a case may be brought to the office of the Dutch public prosecutor. In some instances we support victims or their legal teams in survivor-led justice initiatives in other jurisdictions. We provide access to legal experts, advice and financial support.
