This report by the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) and the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) summarises the findings of the joint investigation into the number of civilian casualties caused by the battle of Chora between June 16 – 19, 2007. AIHRC and UNAMA question whether ISAF took all feasible precautions to minimize collateral damages and whether there were less damaging ways of achieving the intended military objective.
